Obituary of James Scheuber

James R. Scheuber Age 63. Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Joliet and a lifelong Joliet/Shorewood resident. He attended Joliet Junior College and was a graduate of Joliet Catholic High School Class of 1962, and St. Patrick Grade School. Retired from Gregg Lincoln Mercury management with over 30 years of service. Previously a Joliet Police Officer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many; he was also an automobile and motorcycle enthusiast. Jim will always be remembered for his kind heart and his willingness to help others. Preceded in death by his father, Robert Scheuber (1987). Survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Connie (nee Hardy) Scheuber of Shorewood; one son, Mark (Susie) Scheuber of Joliet; two daughters, Suzanne (Brian) Ciapinski of Frankfort, IL and Beth Marie Scheuber of North Aurora; his devoted mother, Genevieve (nee White) Scheuber of Joliet; two granddaughters, Katie and Maddie Scheuber, and was anticipating the birth of his third grandchild in August; one brother, Thomas (Cindy) Scheuber of California; one sister, Mary Lynn (Mark) Odenthal of Joliet; two nephews, John and Jeffrey Softcheck; one aunt, Ursala Martin; numerous cousins and many special friends also survive. Funeral Services for James R. Scheuber will be Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 12:45 p.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Jude Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Catholic Church Building Fund or the American Heart Association in his name would be appreciated.
