Obituary of Edward Schmitz

Edward H. Schmitz Edward H. Schmitz, age 81 of Joliet, IL; U.S. Army veteran; devoted father of Robert, Ellyn, Leslee, and Jan; grandfather to Christina and Brian and Michael Finnegan; dear brother to Harold, Paul and the late Charles; son of the late John Schmitz and Angeline Schmitz (nee Gundrum). A C. P. M., distinguished speaker and past board member for National Association of Purchasing Management; former traffic manager at Chicago Tube & Iron, Romeoville, IL; certified instructor for American Canoe Association and past director of YMCA Indian Guides/Trail Blazers youth programs. He was also a longtime parishoner of the Cathedral of Raymond. Funeral Services for Edward H. Schmitz will be Thursday December 2, 2010 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to Cathedral of St. Raymond's Nonnatus for a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Internment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at 12 pm.
