Obituary of M. Schuster SR

Sr. M. Armella Schuster Sister M. Armella Schuster, OSF, age 91, died peacefully at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home in Joliet, IL on August 18, 2009. Born in Johnstown, PA to the late John and Mary Krivatch Schuster on March 6, 1918. Preceded in death by her brothers, John, Francis (Hazel), and Bill; her sisters, Christine (Henry) Roper, and Rita. Survived by her sister, Mathilda (Stephen deceased) Kossander of Johnstown, PA; and her brother, Robert Schuster (Frances deceased) of Garfield Heights, OH; brother- in-law, Eugene (Rita deceased) Sullivan; sister-in-law, Louise (Bill deceased) Schuster; many nieces, nephews and friends, especially Geraldine Cullen Oram. Sister Armella is known throughout Joliet and the area for her great culinary art skills. With the exception of five years spent in Ohio, Sister Armella ministered in food service at St. Francis Convent, College of St. Francis (now University), St. Francis Academy (now Joliet Catholic Academy), and for 42 years at Guardian Angel Home. The wake will be held at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home, 1201 Wyoming, Joliet, IL (Wyoming and Rt. 30) on Friday, August 21, 2009 from 2:00 - 6:45 p.m., Prayer Service at 4:45 p.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial at 7:00 p.m. The burial will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home to Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville, IL.
