Age 77, of Shorewood and formerly Joliet, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born December 15, 1930 in Davenport, IA, she was raised in the Quad Cities, graduating with the class of 1948 at Rock Island High School. She retired from Bank One (Joliet Federal) and was previously employed by Orthopedic Surgeons of Joliet.
Beloved mother of Linda (Lee) Capista, Steven (Patte) Scott, David (Nicky) Scott and Tony (Arloa) Scott; proud grandmother of Kelly (Jeff) Petrovic, Aaron (Maureen) Capista; Stephanie (Ryan) Klavohn, Steve Scott II; Isabella and Sophia Scott; Michael, Sam and Grace Scott; dearest great- grandmother of Luke and Makenna Petrovic; Madisyn and Mark Klavohn. She will also be missed by her special sister-in-law, Marilyn Fairman; and nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her daughter, Laurie at the age of 5, and her son Kevin in infancy; her father, John Coin; mother and stepfather, Myrtle (nee Pugh) and Glenn Barr. Also preceded by her brother, Jack Coin and a very special cousin, Jeanine Chelar. She will also join her faithful canine companion, Abby.
Nancy was passionate about painting, both oil and watercolor; she was also an avid euchre enthusiast and a great fan of the Chicago Cubs, but what brought her the greatest joy was being the wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother that she was and will always be remembered as.

Funeral Services for Nancy L. Scott will be Monday, March 31, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Ambrose Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Entombment Woodlawn Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the Will County Humane Society or to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated. Visitation Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at:
