Obituary of Gladys Sharp

Sharp, Gladys Beatrice "Bea" Age 83. Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home. Born and raised in Morris, she was a long time Joliet area resident. Preceded in death by her husband, William A. Sharp (1972); parents, James and Gladys (nee Helegson) Brown; and two sisters, Naomi Potochnic and Karen Schaults. Survived by two daughters, Ann (Daniel) McGowan of Crest Hill, and Deborah (Gary) Jones of Sheridan, IL; two sons, Scott (Rebecca) Sharp of Crest Hill and William Sharp; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two brothers, James (T.J.) Brown of Sherman, TX and Ronald Brown; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the 6th Avenue Nursing and Caregiver Staff at Sunny Hill Nursing Home, also the gentle care of Joliet Area Community Hospice who have given our family a special gift of which we are eternally grateful. Funeral Services for Gladys B. Sharp will be Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Rev. Jim McGuire officiating. Interment Brown Cemetery in Elwood.
