Obituary of Doris Simenson

Simenson, Doris M. (nee Piper) Age 83, of Channahon and formerly of Lockport and New Lenox, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home. Founder and publisher of the Shopper Publication in Lockport from 1962-1988. She was a loving grandmother, who enjoyed her grandchildren very much. Survived by two sons, Jonathan (Mary) Simenson of Minooka and Daniel (Darcy) Simenson of Homer Glen; one daughter-in-law, Shery Simenson; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Diane (John) Michna; and one brother, William (JoAnn) Piper. Preceded in death by two sons, Bob Simenson and Timothy A. Simenson; parents, William and Elsie (nee Anderson) Piper; and one sister, Marilyn McPhadden. Private funeral services were held Saturday, April 28, 2012. Burial between her two sons was in Plainfield Township Cemetery. Memorials or condolences may be mailed to P.O.
