Frank Smith Age 82. Passed away Thursday, May 7, 2009 at the Veterans' Home in Manteno. Known as "Handsome Frank". A United States WWII Navy veteran. He retired from D&L Transport. Survived by his children, Don (Ann), Sandy (Kevin), Dave (Trina), Steve (Sue), Janell (Jack), Pat, Mike, Myles, Debbie and Darlene; grandchildren, Julie (Brad), Kevin, Denise (Ken), Kevin, Kristofer, Michael, David, Missy and Bobby; two brothers, Jerry (late Dolores) and Don (late Dolores); sister-in-law, Shirley; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Donna (nee Coy) Smith; one grandson, John; two brothers, William (Ruth) and Ray; and one sister, Marion (Vince). Funeral Services for Frank Smith will be Monday, May 11, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 3-8 p.m. at: FRED C.
