Obituary of Herbert Stanislaus

Herbert J. Stanislaus "Herb" Age 81. Saturday, April 17, 2010 Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born in Joliet, and a lifelong Joliet area resident. A U.S. Army veteran. Retired from Sheffield Steel after over 30 years of service. Former longtime member of East Side A.C. An avid bowler, fisherman and softball player in his younger days. Preceded by his parents, Julius and Jennie (nee Mont) Stanislaus; two brothers, David, in infancy, and Edward Stanislaus. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Susan (nee Marusak) Stanislaus of Joliet; one son, David Stanislaus of Joliet; two daughters, Carol (Lloyd) Kirby of Channahon, and Debra (John) Blasdel of Joliet; ten grandchildren, David, Daniel (Tara), Darren, Damon, Mark and Crystal Stanislaus, Jason (Kristin) Kirby, Jenny (Joey) Zolper, Christine and Renee Blasdel; six great-grandchildren, Fallon, David, Jason, Patrick, Jordan and Ruby; two sisters, Rita (Anthony) Leone and Phyllis (Robert) Terlep, both of Joliet; and one sister-in-law, Adeline Stanislaus. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral Services for Herbert J. Stanislaus were held Tuesday, April 20, 2010. Interment Ss. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery. No visitation. FRED C.
