Myrtle Stitt
Age 74, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2008 at the Lighthouse Care Center in Waconia, MN.
Born October 21, 1933 the daughter of Lyle and Mary Lois (Ames) Stitt in Verona, IL, she was the oldest of eight siblings. Myrtle attended school in Verona and Mazon, IL and continued her education at Illinois State University at Normal, IL, and taught elementary school for a short time. In 1960 Myrtle left her home to become a Minister of the Gospel. She traveled in Illinois until 1972, at which time she moved to Minnesota and gave the rest of her years there.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Stephen Stitt (1973).
Myrtle is survived by her siblings; Marilyn (Gene) Anderson of Galva, IL, Melville (Mary) Stitt of Blackstone, IL, Nancy (Richard) Hagen) of Wilmington, IL, Paul (Barbara) Stitt of Charlottesville, VA, Charles Stitt of Marble Hill, MO, and Jerry (Dixie) Stitt of Verona, IL; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Funeral Services for Myrtle Stitt will be Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive, Morris. Interment Ward Cemetery, Mazon.
