Louis M. Stukel
"Lloyd"
Age 92. Peacefully, Monday, December 7, 2009. Born in Joliet and a lifelong Joliet area resident. A graduate of De La Salle High School. Retired from Weber Dairy after 35 years of service. A member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1176, and past Grand Knight. Member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #300, Rivals Club, the Moran A.C., member of KSKJ and the Senior Citizens Organization. Lloyd loved the White Sox, the Green Bay Packers, bowling and fishing.
Preceded by his loving wife of 60 years, Josephine (nee Brehn) Stukel (1998); his son, Larry Stukel (2005); his parents; one brother; and a sister in infancy.
Survived by one son, Robert L. (Pamela) Stukel of Melbourne, Australia; five granddaughters, Debra (Paul) Brown, Barbara (Bob) Bersano, both of Shorewood, Karen Stukel of Channahon, Stacy (Jason) Masters and Amanda Stukel, both of Joliet; one grandson, Sean Stukel of Joliet; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great- granddaughters; one sister-in-law, Clarabelle (the late LaVerne) Christensen of Joliet; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services for Louis M. Stukel will be Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 9:45 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. John Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. at:
