Sylvia T. Sullivan
(nee Benco)
Age 66. Passed away suddenly, Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center emergency room. Born December 31, 1942 in Joliet, she was a graduate of Providence High School and was a lifelong resident. She worked most recently for McDonald's and previously for Troy Craughwell School in the cafeteria. She loved camping, gardening, working crosswords, crocheting and feeding her birds.
Survived by her beloved husband, Raymond R. "Sully" Sullivan of Joliet; three sons, Patrick Sullivan of Joliet, Francis (Andrea) Sullivan of Joliet and Paul (fiancee Julie) Sullivan of Chicago; three grandsons, Samuel, Colton and Maxwell; three brothers, Richard (Karen) Benco, Gerald Benco and Gregory Benco; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; one son, Shaun A., and one brother, James Benco.
Funeral Services for Sylvia T. Sullivan will be Monday, May 18, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 2-6 p.m. at:
