Obituary of Ilene Sundquist

Ilene B. Sundquist (nee Meyer) Age 84, of Joliet since 1963, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 10, 2009 at home. Born July 9, 1924 in Washington, Iowa she was the daughter of Herman and Ruby Meyer. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Ilene and her husband, Glen, combined their love of travel and golf by playing golf throughout the country. They were active members of the Telephone Pioneers of America and enjoyed entertaining with the phone company. Preceded by her beloved husband of 60 years, Glen A. Sundquist (April 12, 2005); one daughter, Nancy Lenard (January 2, 2009); one son, Tommy (1948); her parents; six sisters and one brother. Survived by her two sons, Gary A. Sundquist of Bozeman, MT and Bruce G. (Chris) Sundquist of Shorewood; seven grandchildren, Robbie, Shawn, Christopher, Michelle and John (Marta) Sundquist, and Jonathan and Justin (Samantha) Edwards; three great-grandchildren, Ryan and Anna Sundquist and Alexis Edwards; one sister; two brothers; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services for Ilene B. Sundquist will be Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
