Obituary of Sarah Thomas

Sarah Marie Thomas Age 21. Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center, following an eight year battle with multiple chronic illnesses. Born in Joliet, she was a lifelong Joliet resident. A student at Loyola University; she was a graduate of Joliet Catholic Academy with high honors, Class of 2006, and the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus junior high and grade schools. She was an active member of the Dyna Kids Organization. Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Tom and Marie (nee Reibel) Milosevich and her paternal great-grandmother, Sarah Humphrey. Survived by her loving and devoted parents, Bill and Karen (nee Milosevich) Thomas; her loving brother, Christopher Thomas all of Joliet; her paternal grandparents, James and Donna (nee VanSlyke) Thomas of Joliet; one uncle, Doug Milosevich of Minooka; one aunt, Barbara (nee Thomas) Gans of Orlando, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, and her faithful canine companions, Fluffy and Daisy Mae also survive. Funeral Services for Sarah Marie Thomas will be Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. As it was Sarah's request, Cremation Rites will be accorded following the funeral Mass.
