Obituary of Arlene Underwood

Underwood, Arlene S. (nee Smith) Age 90, at rest Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Morris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 16, 1922 to the late Florence (nee Franklin) and Calvin Smith in Wesley Township, where she resided most of her life. She was the beloved mother of Joyce (Dennis) Klept, Ray (Lois) Underwood and Gerald (Sandy) Underwood. Loving grandmother of Mark Klept, Joe Klept, Diane Cole, John Klept; Tiffany Underwood, Steven Underwood, the late Michael Underwood (1993); Vincent Underwood and Julie Underwood. Proud great grandmother of several great grandchildren. Dear sister of Elsie Senesac and Leolia Hecko. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friend Gene Warner. Preceded in death by her husband, Leslie L. Underwood (1999), grandson Michael; and brothers, Niles, Alfred and Jason Smith. A homemaker, Arlene also was a hairdresser for a short time and enjoyed listening to music. As it was her wish, cremation rites have been accorded by the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home in Morris, IL.
