Obituary of Michael Vevers SR

Michael J. Vevers Sr. "Mike" Suddenly Saturday June 11, 2011 at the age of 47 as the result of a heart attack while refereeing the game he loved so much, soccer. Born in Oak Park, Illinois and a Plainfield resident for the last 18 years. He was a sheet metal worker and union delegate with local #73. Mike was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed coaching soccer and wrestling. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Victoria (nee Gelardi) Vevers. One daughter Jessica Vevers and one son Michael J Vevers jr., all of Plainfield, His father Peter Vevers of Downers Grove, one sister Laura Vevers of Elmhurst. He was preceded in death by his mother Diana (nee Marchetti) Vevers. Funeral Services for Michael J. Vevers Sr. will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. As it was Michael's request, Cremation Rites will be accorded following his funeral services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to his children's education fund in his memory.
