Obituary of Dorothy Vollmer

Dorothy A. Vollmer "Dort" (nee Panian) Age 79. Died suddenly Tuesday, September 25,2007 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born December 1, 1927 in Crest Hill, IL to the late Frank and Mary Panian, she was a lifetime Crest Hill resident. A lifetime parishioner of St. Anne Catholic Church. Dort was very active until her last days, she will be missed by many who visited the drive-thru at the McDonald's on Rt. 52 near Shorewood. Beloved mother of Patricia Bravo (fiancé Wayne Simmons), and Robert (Colleen) Vollmer; loving grandmother of Cheri (Marshall) Anderson, James Lovett; Adrienne, Joseph and Hannah Vollmer; and Kristyna (Rich) Sundine; proud great-grandmother of Ryan, Robert, Steven and Michael; dear sister of Helen (Robert) Lissey; several nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Raymond; son, David; her siblings and her beloved canine companion, Toto. Funeral Services for Dorothy A. Vollmer will be Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Anne Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
