Obituary of Kay Vukonich

Kay S. Vukonich (nee Vanchina) A lifelong resident of Joliet, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Thursday, October 28, 2010. Born Catherine Sophia Vanchina on April 23, 1924, she is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, George Vukonich, Jr.; two sons, William (Tina, nee Policandriotes) Vukonich of Joliet, and George III (Marty, nee Racich) Vukonich of Junction City, OR; one brother, Lawrence (Violet) of Joliet. Preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Antonia Vanchina; one sister, Jessie Stefancic; and one brother, Cpl. Adam Vanchina USMC (WWII). Funeral Services for Kay S. Vukonich will be Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Nativity Cemetery.
