Obituary of Kenneth Bolz SR

Bolz, Kenneth L. Sr. "Dutch" "Ken" Age 70. Passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Morris Hospital after a courageous battle with COPD and emphysema. Born in Chicago on May 16, 1942 he was a resident of Morris the past 12 years and a longtime Joliet area resident. Beloved husband of 47 years to Gloria L. (nee Hampton) Bolz; loving father of Dianna (Fernando) Lerma of Morris, Kenneth Bolz Jr. of Joliet and William (Stacy) Bolz of Plainfield; proud grandpa of Laurie (Steve) Day, Jennifer Miller; Kendall and Carter Bolz; siblings, Eric (Joan) Bolz Jr., Elmer (Eva) Bolz both of Colorado, Lillian "Lil" (the late Gus) Vandarakis of Joliet, Bruce Bolz of Texas, Robert (Carol) Bolz of Crest Hill and Greg "Skip" (Donna) Bolz of Wilmington; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by his father, Eric Bolz Sr.; mother, Ruth (nee Kaehlert) Krause; two brothers, Emil and Wayne Bolz; uncle, Elmer (late Lillian) Bolz. Dutch retired from Sheffield Steel after many years of service. He enjoyed camping, playing cards, and games on the computer; watching sports on t.v. especially the Cubs, Bears and Bulls. He was most proud of his family and truly enjoyed being with his grandchildren. Funeral services for Kenneth L. Bolz Sr. will be Tuesday, October 16, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred. Visitation Monday 3-8 p.m. at: FRED C.
