Obituary of Margaret Ward

Margaret M. Ward Age 70. Monday, January 11, 2010 at her late residence. Born in Chicago and a long time Joliet area resident. A graduate of Our Lady of the Lake College in San Antonio, TX Class of 1965, with a Masters in social work. A graduate of St. Francis College in Joliet in 1961, and a graduate of St. Francis Academy Class of 1957. She was employed as a counselor at Catholic Charities for over 34 years retiring in 2005. Margaret had been in social work in the Joliet Area for over 43 years. Preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Ward and her father, Edward Ward. Survived by one brother, Rev. Edward R. Ward, O.Carm of Darien. A Memorial Mass for Margaret M. Ward will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 18 Woodlawn Avenue, Joliet. Fr. Gavin Quinn O.Carm celebrant. Private interment St. John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the Will-Grundy Center for Independent Living, 2415 W. Jefferson St., Joliet would be appreciated. Family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements by: FRED C.
