Obituary of Diane Warning

Warning, Diane L. (nee Schelkopf) Age 43, of Shorewood and formerly Glen Ellyn, passed away peacefully, Wednesday May 30, 2012 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home with family at her side, after a courageous, hard fought battle against breast cancer. She was born September 25, 1968 to Nancy and the late Ronald Schelkopf and was raised in Glen Ellyn, graduating from Glenbard West High School. Employed as a Dealer at the Hollywood Casino for 17 years, she, in her free time, enjoyed decorating, designing and riding with her husband on their Harley. Diane had an unusual and unique sense of being available to help/support when it was needed most. Survived by her husband Jeff; daughter Valerie Murphy; grandson Nolen; her mother, Nancy Schelkopf; sister Carol (Dennis) Post; brother Eric (Sonya) Schelkopf; mother-in-law Carolyn Warning; brother-in-law Erich (Susan) Warning. Also survived by her niece and nephews, Kyle, Brianna, Nick and Jake. As it was Diane's wish, cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial gathering will take place Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 3-9 p.m. at the funeral home, with a memorial service beginning at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred. FRED C.
