"Al"
(nee Whalen)
Age 76. Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Palos Community Hospital in Palos Heights. She and her late husband, "Pizza Bob", were the original owners and operators of Al & Bob's Pizza on Cass Street for four decades. Member of the B.L.W. Club (Busy Little Women) for 13 years. She was an avid bowler, who enjoyed playing bingo, listening to music and playing cards; and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandson.
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Weder (2006); parents; Thomas and Mary (nee Waldvogel) Whalen; sister, Joanne (late Al) Desmond; brother, Harry Whalen; and two half brothers, Thomas V. Whalen and George Budzinski.
Survived by one son, Michael (Peggy) Weder of Minooka; three daughters, Debra (John Dzurko) Weder of Joliet, Cynthia (Ray) Kijowski of New Lenox and Mary (Ed) Hawes of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Matthew Weder, Alison (Chris) Devea, Anthony Kijowski and James (Michelle Hellesen) Kijowski; one great-grandchild, Braden Parks; one sister, Shirley (William) Stukel and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Alice J. Weder will be Monday, February 15, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 2-6 p.m. at:
