Suzanne Alice Weinhold
Age 51, formerly of Joliet, passed away lovingly surrounded by her family on Friday, May 13, 2011 at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin, IL.
She was born on January 9, 1960 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Joliet, the daughter of the late Donald G. and Yolanda R. (Denault) Weinhold.
Suzanne was a 1979 graduate of Joliet West High School. She earned a certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant from Joliet Junior College in 1982. She enjoyed working in the Home Healthcare field and at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home.
Suzanne loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed making and shopping for crafts. She had a keen interest and compassion for animals and enjoyed reading, Bingo and playing cards. Sue had a great sense of humor and always loved a good joke.
She is survived by her brother, Dr. Mark (Mary Beth) Weinhold of Somonauk, IL; sisters, Danelle (David) Fyhrie of Wheaton, IL, and Leanne (Michael) Buhr of Joliet, IL; nieces, Alison Fyhrie, Heather (Justin) Nieting, Emily Fyhrie and Erin Weinhold; nephew, Jeffrey Weinhold; step-nephew, Sean McLellan; step-niece, Meagan McLellan; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins including Joanne Weinhold, and cousins Karl Weinhold and Krissy (Ben) Pedraza.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald G. and Yolanda Weinhold; her paternal grandparents, Roy and Margaret (Goodson) Weinhold; and her maternal grandparents, Ernest and Alice (Perrault) Denault.
Funeral services for Suzanne A. Weinhold will be Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Plainfield.
