Yolanda Rose Weinhold
(nee Denault)
Age 80, of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2009, with her family by her side, at St. Patrick's Residence in Naperville, IL. She was born February 28, 1929 in Kankakee, IL, the daughter of Ernest A. and Alice (Perrault) Denault. She grew up on the family farm near Herscher, IL and was a graduate of Herscher High School. She attended the College of St. Francis in Joliet. Yolanda was employed as a secretary at U.S. Rubber. She met her future husband Don, at a dance sponsored by the Catholic Social Club. They were married on October 3, 1953 at Sacred Heart Church in Goodrich, IL, and they spent the next 55 years of their lives together. She was a loving homemaker who enjoyed being involved with her children's activities as well as volunteering with St. Patrick School's Mother's Club. Yolanda and Don enjoyed square dancing and playing cards with friends and family. Later in life, she found great pleasure spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Mark (Mary Beth) Weinhold of Sandwich, IL; daughters, Danelle (David) Fyhrie of Wheaton, IL, Leanne (Michael) Buhr of Joliet, IL and Suzanne Weinhold of Wilmington, IL; grandchildren, Alison, Heather and Emily Fyhrie; Jeffrey and Erin Weinhold; step-grandchildren, Sean and Meagan. Also survived by one brother, Leland (Pat) Denault of Bonfield, IL; one sister, Edelmire (Frank) Schroeder of Colorado Springs, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald (January 14, 2009); parents, Ernest and Alice Denault; and one brother, Melville (Erma) Denault.
Funeral services for Yolanda R. Weinhold will be Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery in Plainfield, IL. Memorials can be directed to her family, which will be distributed to various charitable organizations that Yolanda held dear to her. Visitation Monday from 4-8 p.m. at:
