Obituary of Martha Wever

Martha E. Wever (nee Drake) "Marti" Age 76, of Morris and formerly of New Lenox and Palestine, IL, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL. She was born September 20, 1934 to the late Hattie and Harold Drake in Centerville, Tennessee, she was raised and educated in Palestine, IL. Marti married Art Wever on July 10, 1957. In addition to Art, she is survived by three daughters, Carla (Jim) Bianchetta of Morris, IL, Lora (Gary) Patterson of New Lenox,IL and Diana Wever of Morris, IL . Proud grandmother of Jennifer Patterson. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mary (late Fred) Knoblett. Marti retired from Champion Machinery in Joliet, after 23 years of service. She enjoyed dancing and travel; possessed a keen sense for fashionable footwear, always selecting the best pair for any occasion, but her true passion was spending time with her family. As it was Marti's wish, cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service is being planned for a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery in Palestine, IL. later this spring.
