"Buddy"
Age 69 of Choteau, Montana passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, IL, following complications arising from lung cancer.
Known as "Bud", he was born in Choteau, Montana. He was a graduate of Choteau High School, Class of 1959. He resided in Choteau for 49 years, 31 years were spent working in the grocery industry, owned and operated the Choteau Food Market for 9 years. He proudly served as a President of the Choteau Jaycees, a fireman, a President of Choteau Chamber of Commerce, served in the Lions Club and coached little league. He was a member of the Lutheran and Methodist churches. In 1989 started working for Harrahs Casinos in Nevada, he transferred to Joliet, IL in 1993 and after 21 years retired in May of 2010. Enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing, Sci-Fi, technology and socializing with friends on "Thirsty Thursdays".
Beloved husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, friend, and all around great guy!
He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer James White; mother, Jessie E. (Cook); stepfather, Walter Melzer and brother, Ernest.
Survived by his wife and love for 17 years, Clara (Keifer); brother, Elmer James (Joann); sister, Ethel Mae (Bob) Ramsted; stepdaughter, Kim (Frank) Favicchio; 3 stepsons, Rusty (Jennifer) Dailey, Rocky (Kathy) Dailey and Jack (Kelly) Armstrong; 2 step-granddaughters, Daniele Jender and Ginger Dailey, 6 step-grandsons, Joshua Jender, Jed, Travis and Tyler Dailey, Dylan and Brian Armstrong; a step-great-grandson, Adrian Dailey, a second great-grandson (baby boy Jender) to be; and a host of in-laws, nephews, nieces, and extended family.
Celebration of his life will be on a "Thirsty Thursday" with immediate family and close friends. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, Roger had requested that anyone who wishes to contribute something, perform a random act of kindness for someone in his honor. Arrangements by:
