Loretta Wielbik
(nee Czarnecki)
Age 85. Passed away Sunday, July 29, 2007 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer. Born October 17, 1921 in Poland to the late John and Antoinette Czarnecki. She worked for Hudson's Department Store and later worked in quality control for Dura Containers and Brockway Plastics in Rockdale. She was an active volunteer for the Provena Saint Joseph Cancer Care Center, and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are four children, Christine (Timothy) Valade of Joliet, Barbara (Jacob) Paskvan of Joliet, William (Jean) Wielbik of Batavia, and Brian (Lynda) Wielbik of Shorewood; her grandchildren, Matthew (Crystal) Valade; Jacob and Michael Paskvan; Sherri Lynn (Steve) Hile, Christine (Rod) Barrand, and Lori Wielbik; and Alex, Emily and Luke Wielbik; seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Joe (Dolores) Czarnecki and Eugene (late Margaret) Czarnecki.
Preceded in death by her husband, Stanley M. Wielbik (1984); her parents; two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services for Loretta Wielbik will be Thursday, August 2, 2007 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Jude Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Wednesday 3-8 p.m. at:
