Obituary of Mary Will

Mary Monica Will (nee Long) "Mo" Mary Monica "Mo" (Long) Will born April 8, 1925, entered eternal life on July 1, 2009 at the home of her daughter and son in-law Jacquie and Tony Sartoris of Coal City, IL. Born to the late John J. and Mary Honore (Doherty) Long. She lived in Joliet most of her life, moving to Plainfield in 1994 and Coal City in 2005. Mo was educated in Joliet at St. Patrick's Grade School, St. Francis Academy (JCA) and the College of St. Francis. After college, she worked at the Joliet Post Office as a secretary to the Post Master until starting her family. She was a long time member of the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus Mothers Club, Joliet Catholic High Alumni Association, College of St. Francis Alumni Association and past secretary of "Friends of the Deaf" club. Mo was an avid Cubs fan and sport enthusiast. She loved following her children and grandchildren's' many activities. She was an extremely dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her six children, Patti (Bill) Widlowski, Jim (Paulie) Will, Peggy (Willie) Simpson, Mary (Paul) Jaworski, Judy (Andy) Robbins and Jacquie (Tony) Sartoris; seventeen grandchildren, B.J. Widlowski, Joe (Misty) Widlowski, Beth (Brad) Mangun, John Simpson, Pat (Amy) Simpson, Chris (Kim) Simpson, Meghan (Joe) Vertin, John (Brandi) Will, Jimmy Will, Brian (Sara) Will, Erin Will, Michael (Angela) Jaworski, Katie (James) Toole, Kristen (Clayton) Stuckwisch, Nick Jaworski, David Sartoris, and Mary Grace Sartoris; and seventeen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Pat (Michael) Schrauth and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her husband, John R. Will (1978); one grandson, David Anthony Sartoris; and one great-granddaughter, Cami Stuckwisch. A special "Thank You" to all of the nurses and caregivers from Vitas Hospice. Funeral services for Mary Monica Will will be Friday, July 3, 2009 at 9:45 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary Immaculate Church for Mass at 10:30 a.m.. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
