Edward Charles Wistafke Age 84, of Chicago, passed away September 25, 2007 in Joliet. A Veteran of the Army Air Force during WWII, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He worked as an auto parts salesman. Beloved husband of 62 years to Marjorie, nee Ryan, of Chicago, and formerly of Pascagoula, MS; father of Paula (Robert) Eggert of Joliet; grandfather of Lynne (John, DDS) Mastrud , William (Kathleen) Eggert and Maribeth (Michael) Howell; great-grandfather of Robert and Conrad Mastrud and Elizabeth and Edward Eggert; brother of Barney (Peggy) Wistafke and Elaine (late Ed) Pachol; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded by his parents, James and Julia Wistafke. and one sister, Yvonne. Visitation Sunday from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home 3918 W. Irving Park Rd., Chicago. Funeral services Monday October 1, 2007 at 10:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery for services at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the donor's favorite charity in his name would be appreciated.
