Loretta M. Wyss
(nee Hrivnak)
Age 85. Passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center.
Born December 22, 1925 in Roebling, NJ, she has been a resident of Illinois since age 10, and was a graduate of St. Francis High School. She was a homemaker and mother for many years, later working for the Boston Store and Wieboldt's for 20 years.
Loretta will be remembered for her love of family, and her active participation in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survived by her children, Peggy (Robert) Britt of Delavan, WI, Jane Jones of Gilbert, AZ, Roger (Carolyn) Wyss Plainfield, Virginia Reedy-Lindsey of Baton Rouge, LA, and Barbara (Anthony) Urbancic of Joliet; one sister, Mary Ann (Peter) Preston of Deland, FL; 13 grandchildren, Robert A. Britt, Cheryl Dillner, Barrett Britt, Jeffrey Jones, James Jones, Kimberly Wyss, Stacy Alvarado, Matthew Wyss, Nathan Reedy, Tim Reedy, Anthony Urbancic III, Andrew Urbancic and Adam Urbancic; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Gloria Lipsey and Elaine Westerveld; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded by her husband, Wallace J. Wyss (2000), a grandson, Kevin Reedy; her parents, Andrew and Anna (nee Janos) Hrivnak; one sister, Francis Ann (Kenneth) Williams; and a special aunt, Mary Janos.
Funeral services for Loretta M. Wyss will be Friday, March 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, where she will lie in state from 9:30 until time of services. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials to St. Peter Lutheran Church or Alzheimers Association would be appreciated. Visitation Thursday, 4-8 p.m. at:
