Passed away peacefully on Friday, August 17, 2007 at Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice in Rockledge, FL. Beatrice was born in East Liverpool, OH on March 19, 1919, she moved to Joliet in 1941 and then to Cocoa Beach, FL in 2002. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a sweet caring person with many friends both in Joliet and Florida. Bette was a member of Our Saviours Church in Cocoa Beach, FL. She was active with the Ladies Auxiliary of Cantigny Post VFW #367 in Joliet before her move to Florida, and loved being involved with her many friends, both in Joliet and at her condo complex in Florida. She made friends so easily because of her caring and loving nature. She will be missed dearly, we all loved her so much.
Survived by two sons, Dale (Margaret) Zeigler of Viera, FL and Timothy (Donna) Zeigler of Georgia; one brother, Jack Walters of New Lenox; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Dale D. Zeigler (2006); parents, Wilbur A. and Mary J. (nee Ferguson) Walters; daughter, Patricia Powers of Florida; two brothers, Wilbur and Wayne; and two sisters, Dorothy and Grace.
Visitation for Bette Zeigler will be Saturday, August 25, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. until time of services at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel, with Fr. Richard Ross officiating. Private interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials in her name to Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice would be appreciated. Arrangements by:
