Obituary of Samuel Zigrossi

Samuel F. Zigrossi Age 82. At rest, September 21, 2009 at his late Joliet residence. Born in Joliet to the late Danato and Marie (Alberico) Zigrossi, and a lifelong resident. A World War II veteran. Formerly employed as an ironworker for Local #444, retiring in 1987. Member of Cantigny Post VFW #367 and Southside Civic Club. An avid fisherman. Surviving is his loving wife, Renee (nee James) Zigrossi of Joliet; his stepson, Mark (Melonie) James of England; step-grandson, Matthew James; and siblings Angelo Zigrossi of Joliet, Tony (Char) Zigrossi of Crest Hill, and Dena (James) Babicki of Joliet. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded by parents; and one brother, Felix, in infancy. Funeral services for Samuel F. Zigrossi will be Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Fr. John Doyle will officiate. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
