Obituary of Stephen Zukoski

Stephen J. Zukoski Age 52, of Crest Hill, passed peacefully at Meadowbrook Manor under hospice care on January 13, 2010 with his loving family by his side. Born in Chicago on October 24, 1957, he was raised in Chicago/Cicero and graduated from Morton East High School, and received his electricians certification from Coyne American Institute. He was a licensed certified electrician, who was employed by Freeport-McMoRan, Chicago-Rod. Beloved husband of 25 years to Crystal L. (nee Sauter); loving father of Brenda (Bill) Forrest, Amanda Zukoski (fiancé Richard Harper) and Gina Zukoski; dear son of Theresa Zukoski; fond brother of David Zukoski, Mary Ann (Bob) Tanouye, and Nancy (Jeff) Rezek; brother-in-law of Kristine Zukoski; many nieces, nephews, his aunt, uncle and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by his father, Eugene Zukoski; one brother, William Zukoski. Steve's hobbies included golf, horseshoes, bags and camping. He was a people person, who thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Funeral Services for Stephen J. Zukoski will be Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. John Lutheran Church where services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment Glen Oak Cemetery in Hillside.
