Bahr, Shirley (nee Cartwright) Age 92. Passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 at her home in Ottawa. Born in Joliet and a lifetime resident. Retired from Topps Discount Store in 1974. A lifelong member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Bahr (1994); father, John Cartwright; mother, Alma Kohn; stepfather, Edward Kohn; sister, Cyrilla Cartwright; stepsister, Evangeline Pauls; grandparents; aunts, uncles; cousins; nephew, Kevin Cartwright; great-niece, Amy Roberts; sister-in-law, Florence Kroll. Survived by her son, Preston (Karen) Bahr of Joliet; granddaughter, Charlette Bahr; grandson, Bradley Bahr; granddaughter-in-law, Jennifer Bahr; three great-granddaughters, Madeline and Claudia Bahr, Alexandra Wendell; great great-grandson, Shawn Wendell; one brother, Jack (Norma) Cartwright; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Shirley Bahr will Lie in State at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 310 N. Broadway, Joliet on Monday, January 7, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. Interment Hills of Rest Cemetery.
