Obituary of Theresa Wittkofski

Wittkofski, Theresa M. (nee Sternisha ) Age 74. Suddenly, Sunday, January 6, 2013 at her late residence. Born in Crest Hill to the late Frank and Anna (nee Galajdik) Sternisha, she was a lifelong area resident, living in Shorewood the past 46 years. Graduate of Lockport Township High School. She retired from the cafeteria at Troy Grade School. Member of the Church of St. Jude, CCW, Ladies Auxiliary Cantigny Post VFW #367, Women of the Moose Chapter #84, and the Ladies of the Elks #296. Surviving are her four children, Donald (Deborah) Friend of N. Aurora, IL, Debra Neidetcher of Joliet, David Wittkofski of Shorewood and Diane (Bill) Kettman of Shorewood; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Douglas and Michael Friend, Nickolas and Andrew Neidetcher, Timothy and Steven Kettman; one great-grandson, Ryan Kettman; two sisters, Ann (Bob) Mulvey of Crest Hill and Pauline (Tom) Mihelich of Minooka; four brothers, Michael (Marilyn) of Westminster, CA, Joseph of Wilmington, George (Mary Ann) of Crest Hill and Walter (Sherrill) Sternisha of Manhattan, IL; sister-in-law of Linda Sternisha of Shorewood and Judy Sternisha of Crest Hill; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Norman Wittkofski (2003); one sister, Alice Valek; three brothers, Joseph "Junior" Fojut, Frank and John Sternisha. Funeral Services for Theresa M. Wittkofski will be Friday, January 11, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to the Church of St. Jude for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
