Obituary of Rose Kostelec

Kostelec, Rose (nee Mussario) Age 86. At rest Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Joliet to the late Palmerino and Annarose (Cemeno) Mussario and lifelong resident. Worked in the lunchroom at Keith School for a number of years. Member of the Church of St. Anthony, Knights of Columbus Columbianettes and the American Slovenian Home. She enjoyed polka dancing, cooking, baking and spending time with her family. Her generosity had no bounds, she donated to several charitable organizations. Survived are three children: Albert (Bobbie) Kostelec of Romeoville, Paula (Jan Matthews) Kostelec of Joliet, and Annarose (Frank) Jandura of New Lenox; five grandchildren: Christopher Kostelec, Melissa (Jazz) Burks, Jason (Kara) Jandura, Sarah Jandura (Phillip) Ongenae, and Nicole Jandura; three great-grandchildren: Christian Jandura, Jazz Burks, Jr. and Lillian Rose Ongenae; two sisters, Lena (late Sam) Greco of Joliet and Angeline (late Robert) Resler of Joliet; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded by her husband, Albert F. Kostelec (1983); parents; two brothers, Joseph and Peter Mussario. Funeral Services for Rose Kostelec will be Friday, January 18, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to the Church of St. Anthony for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Mt.
