Obituary of Robert Brew

Brew, Robert J. k "Bob" Robert J. Brew of Plainfield, IL, died peacefully on February 17, 2012. Born August 28, 1943 in Chicago to the late Sydney W. and Bernice (Kennedy) Brew. Bob served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Paris, France as a communication specialist. He retired from Lucent Technology. Bob enjoyed being a Beep Baseball Coach for Blind kids and adults, and volunteered at the Annual Disability Pride Picnic held in Joliet, IL. He received awards for his outstanding contributions to others. Bob is survived by his beloved sister, Valerie Brew-Parrish (Rick Parrish); and one brother, Lee (Pat) Brew; Bob was a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews, and had a multitude of friends. Preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis B. (Dennis) Curtin. Funeral Services for Robert J. Brew will be Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 9:45 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
