Obituary of Esther Micci

Micci, Esther J. (nee Buccarelli) Age 92. Passed peacefully at home on February 17, 2013. Born on December 29, 1920 in Caramanico Terme, Italy. Esther was an active member of the Italian Commercial Club and was a tireless worker on the monthly spaghetti dinners. During the summers you could find her out on the golf course with her golfing buddies. She was known as the lady who always had a joke and made everyone smile. Esther was also known as the cookie lady. If you were sick or it was the holidays she would always bring you cookies and say " Eat these they will make you feel better". Esther's kitchen was always open and she made a party for you even if it was a party for one. She delighted in teaching anyone willing to learn how to cook the Italian way. Esther is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Attilio "Ted" Micci who she married on December 30, 1944. Esther is also survived by her daughters, Margaret Pacin of Oklahoma, Evelyn Micci of Lockport, Geraldine Micci (Joe) Jones of Mokena; son-in-law, Michael Paul; grandchildren, Stuart (Debbie) Pacin, Nikki (Jim) Deskovich, Tony (Michelle) Paul, Darin Paul, Rachel Dudzik, Justin, Jessica, and Jacqueline Jones; great-grandchidren, Katie, Maggie and Carly Deskovich, Josh and Timothy McLean, Morgan Arndt-Paul, Mikayla Pacin, Ethan and PJ Paul; Jacob Jones and great-great-grandchildren, Bridget, Justin and Carter.
