Therese Wilson (Ta Ngoc Cung) Age 70. Passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Preceded in death by her husband, Keith L. Wilson; parents Ta Van Thi and Nguyen Thi Hai; aunt Nguyen Thi Phong; sister Ta Thi Kinh; brothers Ta Thanh Tung and Tha Than Anh; father and mother-in-law Keith and Victoria Wilson; and nephew Mark Wilson. Survived by her children, Angela (Stephen) Sicinski, Alicia (Michael) Bosman, Andrew (Dulcinea Hawksworth) Wilson and Dominic (Nijo Watanabe) Ta; her grandchildren, Jacqueline and Rachel Bosman, and Umi Watanabe Ta; sisters Ta Xuan Mai (Lai Duc Hung), Ta Thanh Thuy, Ta Thu Oanh; brothers Ta Thanh Son and Ta Thanh Xuan Bernard; sister-in-law Gloria (Elmer) Birkett; and brother-in-law Guy (Brigette) Wilson. Ta emigrated from Saigon, Vietnam in 1963 with her husband, Keith. Her career entailed many ventures. In 1975, she became a Bilingual teacher for the Valley View School District. She was the former owner of Panda Garden Restaurant in Joliet, Worldly Things in Lockport and an Import/export specialist. She was a former member of Zonta. In her later years, she became very active in her Vietnamese parish, Queenship of Mary in Glendale Heights. She was very instrumental in building their new church and hall. She will always be remembered as a compassionate woman filled with determination and inspiration to the many people she encountered in her lifetime. Funeral Services for Therese Ta C. Wilson will be Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, Plainfield, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Plainfield. Memorials in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
