I am a nurse at the facility where Bob lived for most of his final days. I work overnight. Several times a week, Bob would wake up and make his way to the nurses station for a glass of water, a midnight snack, or just to say "hi". It became almost my nightly routine. Once I sat him down with his goodies, him and I would often talk baseball, specifically St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Last season, I would tell him if the Cardinals won or lost...who was traded...etc. It seemed to make him happy. Since I'm a huge baseball fan myself, it was a pleasure speaking with him every night about our favorite pastime! R.I.P., Bob...You will be missed. It was a pleasure caring for you over the past 1+ years.
