Barb was my role model for being a mother... I always told her that. Her heart was so big, her love so deep, her sacrifice so grand. The loss of her is so sad. The Savior, Jesus, promises us we will fellowship with her again in heaven. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you.

My condolences to the Myron Family on the loss of Barbara. It became a very sad time when I received notification of her death. In 1998, I began doing Genealogical Research on the Thomas Sadlier Family of County Tipperary. In doing this research I placed general information on place
name websites. A year or so later I received an inquiry from Barbara with questions on my Sadlier Family research. It was quickly determined that the Myron and Sadler families were related and that Tom and I were second cousins. His Grandmother Ellen Sadlier Myron and my Grandfather
Patrick Sadlier were brother and sister. Thus, began years of e-mail correspondence between Barbara and myself in which we posed questions, discovered and shared information. The "i" in the Sadlier name was dropped
for some reason around 1930. One day I opened an e-mail from Barbara that
was titled "Sadliers in the Trunk". Barbara had been in contact with a family member who opened a storage trunk that contained old photos including Wedding photos of Ellen and other Sadlier women, as well as other memorabilia. Barbara was very excited with this find and that she
was able to share it. She took particular delight in being able to send copies of the photos to me. On another occasison I acquired the Naturalization Papers for my Grandfather Patrick. One of his two sponsors
was named John Myron. I was happy to surprise Barbara by sending a copy of this document. Barbara and I communicated regularly via e-mail up until a few years ago, regarding our successes and difficulties in acquiring historical information. Due to the miles that separated us we never met
personnally, but as our relationship grew over the years, I felt that I
really knew her. I came to rely on her as a person, as a historical
reearcher and a confidant. Barbara has left a void as she was a
meaningful source in my Genealogical research. May she rest in peace.

Nana, you were here for us when we were little and as we grew we would visit you. You loved to take us to the parks and the beach and to museums and zoos and everything in between. You loved to have bon fires and look up at the stars with us. Now, we look up to the sky to see you and will meet you again one day. You are in our hearts and we thank you for showing us the way. We will send balloons to you because we miss you, we will send them when we celebrate and we will send them 'just because' we know you are watching over us. You are Forever in our Hearts Nana.

While living with Nana and Granpi, Nana would take us to the park near her house on nice days and we would all swing and play for hours, on sunny days Nana would sing to us as we swung. Her favorite song to sing on sunny days was You Are My Sunshine. When we got older we would sing along with her, belting our little hearts out. One particularly sunny day we were all singing as loud as we could while we swung, because the park was usually empty. Then Nana and I noticed a boy coming to play at the park and we stopped singing, but Misty was oblivious to him because she would swing with her eyes closed. As she finished the song she opened her eyes and noticed the boy standing there staring at her, Nana and I couldn't stop laughing. We left after that. I know that seems like a simple memory but it stands out so much in my mind, when we were with Nana it always seemed like the world got brighter and she lit up any room. She taught me to never take things too seriously, love unconditionally, and be happy with the people and events in my life. Nana will live forever in my memories with the lessons she taught me and the love she gave me. She was and always will be a big factor in the decisions I make in life no matter how small they may be.

My sister and I lived with Nana and Grampi for a few years when we were very young. Although I have several memories that I could share, one specific routine comes to mind most often when I think of Nana. After Stephanie and I would get ready for bed, my Nana would lie down with us and a book of our choice and read until she couldn't hold her eyes open any longer. After convincing us that we would, in fact, finish the story the next night, she would help us say our prayers. This often took longer than the story did; we would pray for every single person we could think of, whether it was a family member or a nice cashier we met. At the time, it was probably just a way for Stephanie and I to stay up longer, but Nana patiently listened and provided names of people whose names we could not remember. Such a simple memory of a simple time, but something that I will never forget. A memory that demonstrates what a patient and gentle woman she was, as well as a memory that shaped the person I am today. To this day, I am an avid reader, storytime has always made me sleepy, and I list all of my friends and family members each night in my prayers. I will never forget my Nana, the kindness she displayed towards me, or the values she instilled in me.

My mother loved the little children. One of my many favorite memories of her was not only listening, but watching her tell stories of made up creatures while the child looked on in anticipation for the creature or waited for the finale- which always had a sequel. I will forever cherish our bond and you will not be forgotten in the generations to come. <3

There are so many memories of Aunt Barb! I will always remember as a kid and growing up she and Uncle Tom would come over and no matter what time of day or night we would always go swimming. When they would come to family parties it was inevitable that a water fight would occur (usually between Uncle Tom and I) and Aunt Barb was always there to catch it on camera. I also remember thinking my mom was crazy when she would say that she and Aunt Barb had ESP until about the 3rd or 4th time my mom would say she had to call Aunt Barb and the next minute the phone would ring and it was Aunt Barb. I will forever miss knowing that a piece of my mom was still here with me, but take comfort in knowing they are back together again!
