Charles D. Binzen
Age 57. Passed away suddenly Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Joliet, raised in New Lenox, and living most of his adult life in Joliet. Graduate of Lincoln Way High School. A U.S. Marine Corp veteran, honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal. He retired from Caterpillar, Inc. Member of NRC and DH Choppers. Chuck was a gifted drummer, giving his time to many benefits in which he was involved. He enjoyed fishing and riding his Harley. Chuck loved spending time with his family and friends whether it was cooking on his grill or an impromptu "Jam" session. He was a unique, genuine man with a kind heart, who will be forever missed.
Surviving are his loving wife of 27 years, Annie (nee Bloch) Binzen of Joliet; his beloved daughter, Michelle (fiancé Tristan Martin) Binzen of Joliet; precious granddaughter, Aubree Rose; his mother, Dorothy (nee Zielinski) Binzen of New Lenox; two brothers, James (Louise) McLaren of Manhattan and Richard (Rita) Binzen of Chicago Heights; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his father, Richard Binzen.
Funeral Services for Chuck Binzen will be Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to St. Jude Catholic Church in New Lenox for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
