Obituary of Davorin Sporcic

Davorin Sporcic "David" Age 79. Passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013 following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Zagreb, Croatia and a Joliet/Rockdale area resident for over 40 years. Retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company in 2007, after over 30 years of service. Member of All Saints Greek Orthodox Church. Preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Katarina Sporcic. Survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Anastasia (nee Pezati) of Rockdale; one daughter, Katarina (Paul) Chabez of Aurora; and his beloved granddaughter, Alexandria Chabez. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Sergei Kravets and the Joliet Family Medical Team, Dr. Jason Suh and the JOHA team as well as Joliet Area Community Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. Funeral Services for Davorin Sporcic will be Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 8:45 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to All Saints Greek Orthodox Church for services at 9:30 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
