Obituary of Joseph Bruckner
Bruckner, Joseph F.
Age 88. Suddenly, Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Chicago to the late Joseph and Margaret (Flanders) Bruckner, he was a long time area resident. A WWII U.S. Army veteran serving in Europe. Retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad in 1982. Member of the VFW of Orland Park and former member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Bruckner enjoyed model railroading.
Surviving are four children, Joseph R. (Corinne) Bruckner of New Lenox, Brian (Irene) Bruckner of Lockport, James (Julie) Bruckner of Alamosa, CO, and Jeanne Bruckner of Chicago; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife, Mary "Pat" (Warwick) Bruckner (2006); and brother-in-law, Philip Warwick.
Funeral Services for Joseph F. Bruckner will be Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. As it was Joseph's request, Cremation Rites will follow Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Misericordia Home would be appreciated. Visitation Wednesday 4-8 p.m. at:
