Obituary of Patricia Felker

Patricia Lou Felker (nee Emmons) Age 89. Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Patricia was born on August 20, 1923 in Chicago. She was the daughter of Roger O. and Helen (nee Peck) Emmons. She married Thomas Lindsay Felker on August 5, 1944 in Norfork, VA. This union produced five sons and one daughter. During her life, she resided in Stevens Point, WI, Madison, WI, Mesa, AZ and Joliet. She was a proud Navy veteran of WWII. Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Thomas L. Felker; her parents; only brother, Charles "Chuck" Emmons; two sons, Timothy and Michael Felker; and her loyal companion, Penny. Surviving are her three sons, Patrick (Dorothy) Felker, Christopher Felker and Andrew Felker; her daughter, Charlene (Kenneth) DeCamp; grandchildren, Michelene Felker, Amanda (DeCamp) Kump, Laura (DeCamp) Knoderer, Nikki Felker, Seth Felker, and Jarad Felker; great-grandchildren, Tessa Kump and Hayden Knoderer. She also leaves behind her loving and faithful nieces and nephews, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Mary Felker. The family wishes to thank the kind and dedicated staff of The Timbers of Shorewood, Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center 7th & 8th Floor staff, IR Staff, Joliet Area Community Hospice Home staff, especially Dr. Bhavesh Gandhi and Dr. Preeti Nagarkatte for their kind and compassionate ministrations. Funeral Services for Patricia Lou Felker will be held Friday, August 9, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, IL to the Church of St. Jude for a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
