Obituary of John Hillman

Hillman, John H. Age 59. Sunday, August 18, 2013 at RML Specialty Hospital in Hinsdale. Born in Battlecreek, MI, he was raised in Joliet and attended Taft Grade School, Hufford Junior High and Joliet West. A graduate of the University of Illinois with a theater management degree. Immediately following graduation, he moved to Santa Monica, CA where he attained his CPA, and worked for a local accounting firm. He also worked as a location accountant, independently working on several productions in the film industry, including the movie "True Lies". He returned to Joliet in 2001 where he spent his summers, and the winters with family and friends in Florida. Preceded in death by his father, Danny B. Hillman (2010); Survived by his mother, Mary Ellen (nee Rubnitz) Hillman of Joliet; one brother, James (Deena) Hillman of Joliet; niece and nephews, Mattilee, Harry and Max Hillman; dear nephew of Myra (Irv) Bressel of San Diego, CA and Arthur (Minette) Hillman of Bethesda, MD. Funeral Services for John Hillman will be Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Joliet Jewish Congregation, 250 N. Midland Avenue, Joliet. Rabbi Charles Rubovits officiating. Interment Mt. Moriah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Joliet Jewish Congregation appreciated. Visitation Wednesday morning at the Synagogue from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
