Theresa F. Buldak

Age 85. Suddenly Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Joliet on May 11,1923 to the late Joseph and Antonia (nee Vidic) Nosse; she was a lifetime resident.
Preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Frank P. Buldak, Sr. (2000); brothers, Joseph, Frank, James, John, Anthony, Michael and Henry Nosse.
Beloved mother of JoAnn (James) Olznoi, Sr. and Frank P. Buldak, Jr.; devoted and proud grandmother of James (Cindy) Olznoi, Jr., Daniel (fiancee Shannon O'Connor) Olznoi and Amiee (Matthew) Twardosz; dearest great-grandmother of Tyler James Olznoi and Maisie Mae Olznoi; loving sister and best friend to Mary (late Richard) Kubinski, Sr.; fond sister-in-law of Julia Wilhelmi, Ann Buldak, Sue Buldak, and Dorothy Carter; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins also survive.
In her younger years, she was employed at the American Can Company, and after her children were raised, she went back to work at the Joliet Ammunition Plant (APSA). Member of St. Joseph Seniors, the Caterpillar Retirees Club, the IAM Machinists Retirement Club, the Altar and Rosary Society, and the Slovenian Women's Union. She loved gardening, and enjoyed cooking and baking. Her roski's, poticas and sauerkraut were some of her specialties. Theresa was very proud of her Slovenian heritage, and her family's generational membership at St. Joseph's Parish.
Funeral Services for Theresa F. Buldak will be Monday, February 9, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
