Obituary of Gloria Turnbough

Gloria J. Turnbough (nee Gilbert) Age 72, a long time Joliet/New Lenox resident, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Lake Odessa, MI to the late Iris M. (nee Darby) and Richard L. Gilbert Sr., she resided here most of her life. Graduate of Joliet Township High School Class of 1960. Beloved mother of Kenneth Lee (Karen) Turnbough, Bruce Alan Turnbough, Paul Bryan Turnbough and Tracy Lynn (Noel) Parson; grandmother of Kaylee, Zachary and Ashlee Turnbough; Andrew and Kirstin Turnbough; and Nathaniel and Emmalie Parson; dear sister of Roger L. (JoAnn) Gilbert Sr., Richard L. (Patricia) Gilbert Jr., Charles F. (Sandy) Gilbert, Clark (Lori) Gilbert and Suzanne Gazelle Gilbert. Formerly employed at Metalstamp from 1999-2008, she also worked for many years at Hardees. Member of the New Lenox Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed 50's and 60's music, was a diehard Cubs fan and a fantastic baker. All friends and relatives are invited to gather for a celebration of her life on Friday, September 6, 2013 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet, beginning at 4:00 p.m. with a brief service at 7:30 p.m. As it was her wish, Cremation Rites have been accorded.
