Obituary of Charles Novak

Charles S. Novak Age 96. At rest Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home. Born and raised in Carbon Hill, IL, the son of the late Frank and Mary (Supan) Novak. He resided on the Kankakee River in Wilmington Township. A lifetime member of the Operating Engineers Union Local #150. Survived by his son, Charles J. (Karen) Novak of Plainfield; his grandson, Charles J. (Dodie) Novak, Jr. of Menomonee Falls, WI; his granddaughter, Jill (Jon) Otterberg of LaGrange, IL; four great-grandchildren, Charlie and Brynn Novak, Calista and Ethan Otterberg; his stepdaughter, Joyce Smith of Tampa, FL; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceded by his wife, Margaret (Winkler) Novak (1991); three sisters, Mary Barney, Ann Novak and Marcella Voss; five brothers, Joseph, John, Anton, Emil and Richard. Funeral Services for Charles S. Novak will be Friday, September 6, 2013 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home, 1201 Wyoming Avenue, Joliet with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Enshrinement Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
