Age 56. At rest Sunday, September 8, 2013 at his late residence. Born in Joliet and lifelong resident. Graduate of Plainfield High School Class of 1975. Employed by the Teamsters Union Local #179. Proprietor of Kollman Signs. Life member of Joliet Moose Family Center Lodge #300 (past Governor). Member of the Associated Clubs of Will County, he was active with the Wish Upon A Star organization for over 25 years. Rick enjoyed his times spent on the river with family and friends as well as working on cars.
Survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Carol "Midget" (nee Roberts) Kollman of Joliet; three children, Jeff (Kellie) Kollman of Manhattan, Eric (Nancy) Kollman of Mokena and Elise Roberts of Joliet; nine grandchildren, Tristen, Brett, Jacqueline, Cassie, Athena, Andrea, Kaylee, Matthew and adopted grandson, Bobby; his parents, Jack (Sara) Kollman and Patricia (nee Smith) Kollman; one sister, Roberta Balavender of Joliet; one brother, Brian Kollman of Joliet; and his aunt Edith "Tootsie" Jurisic of Wilmington.

Funeral Services for Richard A. Kollman will be Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
