Obituary of Greg Guthrie

Greg Alan Guthrie Age 59. At rest Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born March 4, 1954 in Hamilton, OH to William F. and Lois Jean (nee Brown) Guthrie. Greg was employed by Joliet Township High School for seven years preceding his passing, and he was also employed for 26 years with Jewel Foods, last working at the Lockport Jewel Store. Survived by his mother, Lois Jean Guthrie; daughter, Stephanie Guthrie; two sons, Mathew and Joshua Guthrie; brother, Kent (Judy) Guthrie. Preceded in death by his father, William; fiancee, Kristin Brandom; grandparents, Floyd A. and Elizabeth "Betty" Brown, and William T. and Catherine Guthrie. All friends and relatives are invited to gather on Monday, October 7, 2013 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet from 6:00 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
